'MyWorldWeather' is a mobile application based on the World Weather Information Service (WWIS) designed for the Android platform. Utilizing location-based technology, it detects the user's current location to automatically deliver official city weather forecasts.
The WWIS website stands as the primary and exclusive global platform offering official weather observations, forecasts, and climatological data for chosen cities from National Meteorological and Hydrological Services (NMHSs) across the globe. Developed and maintained by the Hong Kong Observatory (HKO) on behalf of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), WWIS aims to furnish accurate and dependable weather information from NMHSs worldwide to internet users and the media.
As of March 2017, WWIS has provided official weather data for 2123 cities, with forecasts available for 1997 cities from 135 members and climatological information accessible for 1961 cities from 169 members.
